• Dr. John Philip Nichols Tribal administrator of the Cabazon Band who negotiated the 1981 Wackenhut joint venture, was convicted of murder solicitation after 1985, and was named in the 2009 Alvarez murder charges.
• Jimmy Hughes Former security director of the Cabazon tribe's casino and bingo operations, later a missionary in Honduras, charged in 2009 with the 1981 murders of Fred Alvarez, Ralph Boger and Patricia Castro; dismissed in 2010.
