  • Ben Rich Lockheed engineer who headed the Skunk Works from 1975 to 1990, developed the F-117, and closed lectures with a line about taking E.T. home that listeners later reported as an admission.
  • Francis Gary Powers American Central Intelligence Agency U-2 pilot shot down near Sverdlovsk on May 1, 1960, tried in Moscow, exchanged for Rudolf Abel in 1962, and killed in a 1977 television helicopter crash.
  • Ron Blackburn Retired Air Force lieutenant colonel at Lockheed in Burbank whom John B. Alexander named as co-founder of the 1985 Advanced Theoretical Physics group, and who appears in contemporaneous notes of its meetings.
